No
breed surpasses the Arabian horse in hardiness, beauty, friendliness,
intelligence and versatility. Even though the Egyptian Arabian represents
around three percent of the total Arabian population, they have won
as high as 35 percent of the championships on the National and World
levels.
Bred
by the Bedouins these horses of the desert developed through centuries
of selective breeding in the harshest of environments. They shared the
available food, the tents, and the hardships of their Bedu family. They
were loved beyond money and were gifts to Kings.
The
Egyptian Arabian has come to us with an intriguing and colorful past.
They are very special because they are a direct source of centuries
old desert blood. Current breeders of Egyptian Arabians are caretakers
of the future of the breed.
Todays
conscientious breeders of Egyptian Arabians commit themselves to maintaining
the ancestral elements and characteristics of the desert horse so that
future horse lovers will have the choice of going back to the desert
bloodlines to improve their stock and to maintain Arabian type.

The
Egyptian Arabian Horse Alliance is a group of dedicated
Arabian horse breeders whose purpose is to preserve Egyptian Arabian
bloodlines and characteristics and to increase awareness of the value
and availability of the Egyptian Arabian Horse. E.A.H.A. also strives
to educate horse enthusiasts about the benefits of owning Egyptian Arabians
and of becoming lasting patrons of these rare and beautiful horses.
The
members of E.A.H.A. reach across America and to other parts of the
world through advertising and promotion developed to promote and enhance
the knowledge of the Egyptian Arabian in equine breeding programs. We
support and promote two futurity programs, a stallion service auction,
and a horse show to further display the success of Egyptian Arabian
bloodlines in the show ring. We conduct annual group activities which
promote the Egyptian Arabian in our local region. We provide a network
of Egyptian Arabian breeders concentrated in the south central United
States which makes available to other Egyptian enthusiasts some of the
finest Egyptian Arabian bloodstock in the world.
The
Egyptian Arabian Horse Alliance membership
invites you to contact the members listed in our directory for further
information about E.A.H.A. or their individual breeding and training
programs.
